Love Message Cards

Love Cards – Tips on Messages

During the course of our lives, we meet a lot of people. We meet a lot of kind people, some unkind, but at one point or another we always meet the special someone – a person who deserves (or doesn’t, but that’s a whole other topic) a most special place in our hearts.

Let the special one know they are the one you love the most. Reach out to them with a cute, crazy, witty love card and add a bunch of fresh flowers perhaps. As the Kaiser Chiefs sing: „Let it never be said the romance is dead“. But if you’re not really a poet, or not even remotely good with words, don’t worry. That’s where we come in.

Pieces of advice on what to write on a Love Card

First, a few advise if you’re brave enough for wanting to write your own love card or letter. Go somewhere private, make sure nothing distracts you, grab a pen and paper (no computer printing, please), and you will now be able to express yourself without being afraid someone might interrupt you.

This will help set the mood. You can even light up some candles or listen to some music which reminds you of that person.

Think about the person you love for a while. Remember the reasons you feel in love with them, consider what you love the most about them: perhaps their character, sense of humour, or some other attributes.

Be careful not to focus too much on physical characteristics, as this can make you seem shallow. Of course, you can include a few, but do try to balance it out with the other traits this person possesses. Don’t worry, it does not have to sound like Hemingway wrote it.

Don’t put too much pressure on yourself, and try to avoid mimicking someone else’s voice. It will feel much warmer and more honest if you truly, really write from the heart. I’m sure your significant other will appreciate the effort.

You can never go wrong with keeping it simple. For example: start by writing about how you two first met, or the moment you fell in love with them. This will bring back nice memories and make them smile.

Continue by saying how much this person means to you, how much you love being with them. Also, mention certain little details you love about them. In the end, tell them about how excited you are about your future together.

Of course, don’t expect you’ll write it perfectly from the get-go. You can start by writing down your thoughts as a first draft kind of thing, and then organize and polish them later. Make sure you pay attention to the small details, personal things – this makes people feel special and appreciated.

Nothing says ‘I love you’ more than remembering the most commonplace, everyday moment the two of you shared.

Also, you can include quotes, especially from authors or singers you know your significant other adores. And don’t worry about the length – write what you want to share, whether it’s a five-page letter or a really short but cute message on a sticky note. Try to be open, even if it makes you feel vulnerable.

Be honest. Say how much you appreciate your partner, how much your life has changed with them and what they mean to you. We all get a bit nervous when we have to share our most intimate feelings, but this is what this is all about, right?

Opening up to someone you love and trust can only bring good things into your relationship.

If you are an artistic soul, add a sweet drawing to your letter. How about the two of you as cartoon characters? However, don’t worry about this part too much. It’s more about what you say, rather than the format.

When you get your message done, don’t get cold feet and not deliver it. If you’re shy, you can always leave it somewhere for your partner/crush to find it when you’re not around. For example, slip it in their drawer.

If, for some reason, you don’t want to write the letter in your own words, here are some beautiful quotes that you can use. If you do pick out one of these, keep in mind they should accurately express how you feel, as well as closely resemble your relationship.
